SSC Ultimate Aero

The SSC Ultimate Aero is a mid-engined sports car that was produced by SSC North America (formerly known as Shelby SuperCars) from 2006 until 2013. The SSC Ultimate Aero held the title of the fastest production car in the world, according to theGuinness World Records, from 2007 (when it was officially timed at 256.14 mph (412.22 km/h)) until the introduction of theBugatti Veyron Super Sport in 2010. However, in April 2013, the Guinness World Records disqualified the Veyron's record time, and reinstated the Ultimate Aero as the fastest production car ever; this change was reverted just five days later.

The SSC Ultimate Aero was not sold with electronic driver aids such as antilock brakes or traction control, as according to Jerod Shelby, "Early design philosophy on the car was to make it a driver's car. I wanted a car that you not only throttled with your right foot but at times you could steer with your right foot and a sensor "

Hennessey Venom GT

The Hennessey Venom GT is a sports car based on the Lotus Exige manufactured by Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering and assembled in England.
On April 3, 2013, the Hennessy Venom GT crested 265.7 mph (427.6 km/h) over the course of 2 miles (3.2 km) during testing at United States Naval Air Station Lemoore in Lemoore, California.On February 14, 2014, on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile (5.18 km) shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h) with Director of Miller Motorsport Park, Brian Smith, driving.

The Venom GT uses a Lotus Exige chassis. The manufacturer, Hennessey Performance Engineering, claims the modified chassis uses components from the Lotus Exige, including the roof, doors, side glass, windscreen,cockpit, floorpan, HVAC system, wiper and head lamps. Hennessey Performance and the Venom GT are not associated with Lotus Cars. For road use, the car is registered as a Lotus Exige (modified) and is not a series production car.

The Venom GT has a curb weight of 2,743 pounds (1,244 kg) aided by carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels. The brakes use Brembo 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The rotors are 15 inches (380 mm) carbon ceramic units provided by Surface Transforms.

Koenigsegg Agera R

The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engined sports car produced by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg since 2011. It is a successor to the Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR. The name Agera comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means "to act" or in imperative form "(You) act!".The Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 940 hp (701 kW) at 6900 rpm and 1,100 N·m (810 lb·ft) of torque at 4000 rpm. Total weight of the engine is only 197 kg (434 lb) thanks to a carbon fiber intake manifold and the aluminium construction. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch with paddle shifters. It is the firstdual clutch transmission to feature only one input shaft. The second clutch slows down the input shaft during up shifts in order to reduce the time it takes to synchronize the next gear, resulting in faster shift times. Most notably, the transmission weighs only 81 kg (179 lb)
 The Agera comes with forged aluminum wheels with center locking nuts, measuring 19" on the front and 20" on the back and wrapped in a set of Michelin Super Sport tyres that can be used with speeds of up to 260 mph (420 km/h).

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined sports car, designed and developed in Germany by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.

The original version has a top speed of 407 km/h (253 mph). It was named Car of the Decade and best car award (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear. The standard Bugatti Veyron also won Top Gear's Best Car Driven All Year award in 2005.

The Super Sport version of the Veyron is recognised by Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 430.9 km/h (267.7 mph),and the roadster Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse version is the fastest roadster in the world, reaching an averaged top speed of 408.84 km/h (254.04 mph) in a test on 6 April 2013.

The Veyron's chief designer was Hartmut Warkuss, and the exterior was designed by Jozef Kabaň of Volkswagen, with much of the engineering work being conducted under the guidance of engineering chief Wolfgang Schreiber.

Several special variants have been produced. In December 2010, Bugatti began offering prospective buyers the ability to customise exterior and interior colours by using the Veyron 16.4 Configurator application on the marque's official website. The Bugatti Veyron was discontinued in late 2014.
